There are many poisonous plants in the Daintree Rainforest. For instance, the plants/fruits that are deadly would be the Idiot Fruit, Burrawang, Palm, Stinging Tree Fruits, Red Tulip Oak, and the Vine Trees plants. One of the deadliest plant in the Daintree Rainforest would be the Idiot Fruit, “These huge trees hold large brown fruits and the seed is highly poisonous, making this one of the few fruits that no rainforest bird or animal can tolerate. The tree’s only seed dispersal method is gravity. Therefore, distribution is limited. As a result, this plant occurs in very localised pockets of lowland tropical rainforest and around water catchment areas” (Daintree Rainforest Plants, 2017) Each plants has their own conditions. For example, the seed of the idiot fruit is as big as a human fist. It is also referred as the green dinosaur. The stinging tree is the most dangerous out of every plant in the Daintree Rainforest. Be careful when you touch or eat these fruits/plants. There will be images below to represent the poisonous plants/fruits.
